Ginger,
the underground stem, of the plant Zingiber officinale
has been used as a medicine in Asian, Indian and
Arabic herbal traditions since ancient times. Ginger
contains up to 3% of an essential oil that causes
the fragrance of the spice.
Fresh Ginger is one of
the main spices used for making pulse and lentil
curries and other vegetable
preparations. It is used fresh to spice tea especially
in winter.Since ancient times, ginger has also
been used to help treat arthritis, colic, diarrhea,
and heart conditions. |

to these medicinal uses, Fresh Ginger continues to
be valued around the world as an important cooking
spice and is believed to help the common cold, flu-like
symptoms, headaches etc. Ginger Root may also be used
